G-INews, NEW DELHI – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an urgent advisory for candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (PG) – 2026], reminding them to complete their registration by the fast-approaching deadline of January 14, 2026.
Aspirants who wish to secure admission into postgraduate programs at Central Universities and other participating institutions must submit their online forms via the official portal at exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg by 11:50 PM.

Important Note: Only candidates who successfully complete the fee payment by the deadline will be considered registered. NTA has emphasized that particulars should be reviewed carefully, as no changes will be allowed after the payment is processed until the correction window opens.
Major Updates: Exam Centers and FlexibilityThis year, the NTA has introduced significant updates regarding examination locations:
Expanded City Choices: Candidates can now select up to four exam city preferences (increased from the initial limit of two). These choices must be within the state of the candidate’s permanent or current residence.
Revised Center List: The total number of examination centers has been adjusted to 292 cities (276 in India and 16 overseas), down from 312 last year.
Correction Window Opportunity: Applicants who have already submitted their forms will be allowed to modify or add their city preferences during the correction window from January 18 to January 20, subject to availability.Exam Pattern at a GlanceDespite the changes in center locations, the NTA has confirmed that the exam structure remains unchanged:
Subjects: 157 subjects are available for selection.Duration: Each paper is 90 minutes long.Format: Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 75 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
